(Reagan Roy) Newest reports from Dr. George Smith of West EMS say the explosion that occurred at a West, Texas fertilizer plant has left 60 to 70 people dead and hundreds more injured. The numbers are expected to rise throughout the night.
A triage center has been moved from a local football field to a community baseball field six blocks away.
Authorities have informed the citizens of West to evacuate the city immediately, due to fears of a second explosion.
A source tells KWKT the explosion was heard in Gun Barrel City, which is 100 miles away from West.
