Gun Free Zones Don’t Deter Criminals, Gun Rights Do

(Ed Corcoran)  Since the horrific massacre in Colorado, there have been a lot of theories going around about this being a “staged” or “false flag” event designed to provide the liberal, anti-gun lobby and the PTB with another excuse for destroying the second amendment and taking our gun rights away.  Those of my regular listeners know that I don’t instantly buy into every conspiracy theory that comes along, but that doesn’t mean I accept everything the mainstream media feeds us either. This means that questions need to be asked.

The crux of critical thinking is to point out inconsistencies and ask questions.  Whenever an unspeakable tragedy occurs, those who ask such questions are usually attacked and shouted down by those who are conditioned to accept the “official” story without question (e.g.; the sheeple).  Anyone who expresses doubt in the veracity of what the media is telling us is usually accused of being disrespectful or insensitive to the victims and their families for having the gall to challenge what the media is or isn’t telling us.

While some of the comments I’ve read online may have been highly opinionated and based heavily on conjecture, I do not believe it’s disrespectful or insensitive of anyone to point out when something doesn’t add up.  I think people who attack those who question the official media  story do so more out of their own personal fear and anxiety than any perceived disrespect…

“Shut up!  You’re challenging my reality!  Have some respect for the FAMILIES!”

Speaking for myself; whenever heinous events like this take place, my first feelings are ones of shock and grief for the victims and acute empathy for the families,  but I’m not willing to neatly pack it away in a little box and forget about it. Especially when other information comes to light.   The search for truth can never be disrespectful  or injurious to the victims of atrocities, but blindly believing everything the media tells you – despite the inconsistencies – hurts us all.

And there  are inconsistencies in this story, such as; where does an unemployed student come up with the funds for all the gear, weapons, explosives and tear gas grenades that the alleged perpetrator; James Holmes used and/or had in his possession? One news report claimed that the University of Colorado stated that Holmes was awarded a special “elite” grant (that’s literally what they called it..  No other specifics were given) that provided him with $26,000 a year for living expenses. I’ve never heard of such a large stipend before.  Most grants allow for a few thousand dollars for books and living expenses, but nothing even approaching five figures.  That doesn’t mean it’s a lie…  I’ve just never heard of it.

Also, how did he even obtain the explosives and gas grenades? As far as I know, tear gas grenades are nearly impossible for a civilian to acquire, and the purchase of explosives is tracked very closely by the FBI.  Do you think that wouldn’t send up any red flags?  As we all know the FBI has been making a cottage industry out of setting up would-be terrorists, just so they can knock them down and chalk it up as a victory in the “war on terror”.

Furthermore, Where did Holmes acquire the training and knowledge required to design the elaborate network of booby-traps that authorities found rigged in his apartment?  Much like survival skills, you don’t become adept at such tactical bomb making by reading a book…  At least not without blowing your own self up.

Does this seem like something that a bookish neuroscience student could accomplish without any help? Also, why would he go through all the trouble to set up this complicated system only to warn the police about it?  The official story claims that he had no accomplices, but eyewitnesses have reported seeing another person in the front row of the theater who received a phone call and then proceded to prop the emergency door open, shortly before the carnage ensued  (see video below).  Nothing in the media about that.

Speaking of neuroscience; is it just a coincidence that the CIA’s MK Ultra program conducted mind-control research at the University of Colorado?  If you think MK Ultra is just a conspiracy theory, it’s not.  I won’t go into a long dissertation about it here, but the the CIA mind-control program was (and most likely still is) very real.  You can Google it yourself and look up the declassified documents.

I have not endorsed  either side of this issue, but thanks to Eric Holder and the “Fast and Furious” botch-up, we now know that the government is not above staging events in order to manipulate and frighten the American people into giving up their gun rights, which brings me to the real point of this article…

Regardless of whether this atrocity was the solitary act of a sick individual, or an orchestrated government conspiracy, the fact remains is that this will provide greater leverage for the Obama regime  to disarm the American populace.  With the U.N.’s Small Arms Treaty looming on the horizon (adding even more fuel to the conspiracy theories), this is a critical time to inform and energize the American people into defending our 2nd Amendment right to keep and bear arms!

To deny over 300 million citizens the right to the security and safety that firearms provide because a small fraction of that number might use them to murder people makes about as much sense as banning matches because someone might use them to commit arson, or to take away everyone’s driver’s license in order to prevent fatal auto accidents.  Statistics have proven that states with permissive gun laws have lower incidents of crime and gun fatalities.

On a national scale, a well armed populace is much better suited to defend itself from both foreign anddomestic threats than an unarmed society.  Consider the famous quote by Isoroku Yamamoto (Commander-in-Chief of the Imperial Japanese Navy during World War II):

“You cannot invade the mainland United States. There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass.”

If you’re still on the fence about gun rights/safety or laboring under the ridiculous fantasy that an unarmed society would somehow be safer, you should instead consider the more obvious argument that CRIMINALS AND PSYCHOPATHS DO NOT RESPECT LAWS, RULES OR “GUN FREE ZONES”!  If there were even one armed person in the theater that night, things might have turned out quite differently (see the video “How to Stop a Massacre”  below).    In fact, a society in which everyone is defenseless would only encourage and embolden those who would wish to do you harm. Banning guns would only make their job easier.  Whether the criminal is a lone-wolf lunatic, the attorney general or the leader of the “free” world.

Our founding fathers knew this when they included the the second amendment in the Constitution.
